It’s Friday y’all! I can’t believe our twins are going to be 2 years old on Sunday!! Where has the time gone?

In the midst of this chaos, one thing is certain, we are blessed. ✨

Living life with gratitude is so important and something I am personally working on. It’s easy to get caught up in the madness, but I’ve chosen to take a step back and focus on the thing I can control. When I am feeling overwhelmed, I start counting my blessings.

My children, my wife, our puppy Tanner, a roof over our heads, food in our bellies, our health, our family, my job, our family, our friends and the list goes on and on.

You see, when you shift your mentality from “the glass is half empty” to “the glass if half full” everything changes. Perception is a huge part of life and our balance in life.

Do you agree?

I used to be such a negative person. I’m sure the negative energy just radiated off of me. I hated everything and everyone. I was angry.

All. The. Time.

At my parents, friends, strangers...Why? Because I was depressed. I was unhappy. I was gay and couldn’t accept it.

Just think, if I took all that time and energy and used it for something good, for something positive....Can you imagine what kind of impact that could have? It‘s a ripple effect. Kind of like the “pay it forward” movement. Putting that positive energy out into the universe and the universe throws positivity right back your way. Like one big beautiful cycle.

I was at a crossroads in my life. I could continue to be a miserable A-hole or I could be happy. It was literally in that moment that things shifted. I won’t say that it was easy, because next to giving birth it was one of the most challenging things I have ever done, but it was worth it.

If you feel like you’re stuck... it that miserable rut like I was, remember the Body achieves what the mind believes. Start small and give yourself grace along the way.
